Wes had me thisclose to buying him one of these. It’s just too cute when he hugs stuffed animals! Thankfully CVS didn’t have the mini one of the dog, so we left with just what we had gone to the store for.
EDIT: Our child has also developed a love for Thomas the Tank Engine, any time we go in Toys’r’Us he runs to the Thomas toddler bed. He has played with train tables at TrU and Barnes & Noble and enjoys it a lot! He, of course, had a tantrum when we had to leave the table at TrU today- ugh. We’ll have to remember that for when his birthday/Christmas comes along.
In other news, looks like we’ll be getting some roof work done. Had roofer #1 come out yesterday (another coming tomorrow) to check out the damage from the golf ball sized hail we had a couple weeks back…yeah, not good. Bye bye to a good chunk of our emergency fund. Guess it’s a good thing warm weather is coming/is sometimes here, more free outdoor stuff to do to save money!
It has been in the 80s the past couple times which has meant lots of outdoor time!
Friday- Wes and I went to a park and played in the mud. It turned out to be lots of fun. 🙂 In the afternoon we played in the yard and found a worm that he ended up splitting into two. Gentle isn’t in his vocabulary!
Saturday- Played outside and had lunch at a local Mexican restaurant. It was Steve’s choice as his treat for finishing the PE exam! The picture with the bucket on his head is from when we were getting ready to leave the house.
Sunday- Went as a family, including Quinn, to the park near our house. Lots of fun, Wes climbed a ladder by himself (pic below). Then we came home and played in the yard and grilled out for dinner
Up for Monday- Going to the pediatrician for 2 vaccines! 😦
In napping news- Wes is down to 1 nap, from 12-2pm. It has messed with our routine, but we’re figuring it out.
1. Last night Wes said ‘caca’ (as in doodle-doo) to one of the roosters in the kitchen.
2, Today he said ‘cluck cluck’ (2x) to chickens on ‘The Fresh Beat Band’!
It turned out to be a beautiful spring day! We just came in from a little outdoor time.
Earlier today he fell on the tile after tripping on a lunch bag he was playing with, he got a big red mark on his forehead around the bruise he already had from running into a door jam last week. The bruise wasn’t on my watch, it was after Steve gave him a bath.
He’s been a bit cranky today and I just checked his mouth- tooth #10 is coming in, there’s a bloody spot where it’s coming through. He now has 2 upper molars, one on each side.
Check out the forehead:
